Benjamin Button to Be So Long That Time Moves Backward?

Just as a new trailer for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button premiered on NBC's Olympics coverage last night, rumors are percolating that the movie's veneer some difficulties behind the scenes. Specifically, Variety's Anne Thompson writes that music director David Fincher has off in a cut that is "quite long," simply like his last pic, Zodiac. /Film and Ain't It Cool News have fanned the rumors as well, with a test-screening report at AICN pegging the electric current cut at three hours.

Seriously, does this movie want to be three hours long? It's a not bad story Brad Pitt plays the title character reference, who ages backward and the special personal effects seem immaculate, with old man-baby Brad Pitt specially terrifying. But is Fincher jealous of Steven Soderbergh's four-hour Che? Is he hoping to hammer place the tragedy of time's passage to audiences by taking aside three hours of their lives? By the time the movie's over, testament we experience aged into old man-babies?

Hanks Drops Big Fat Greek Wedding Lawsuit

Tom Hanks, his wife Rita Wilson and actress Nia Vardalos have dropped their legal battle all over profits from hit 2002 movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Vardalos wrote the script for the comedy, while Hanks and Wilson were producers of the film. My Big Fat Greek Wedding proved to be an unexpected blockbuster, earning profits of $368 1000000. However, the trio subsequently accused their co-financiers at Gold Circle Films of reneging on agreements to pay the stars a share of the takings, and filed a cause at Los Angeles County Superior Court in 2007. But the firm's bosses have reportedly refused to pay the plaintiffs whatsoever share of the lucre or amends - and Hanks, Wilson and Vardalos have since decided to put an end to the legal wrangling by dropping the suit entirely. They get yet to give a specific reasonableness for their actions.

Jason Filardi's to pen Korean comedy

Lionsgate agrees to pitch about wedding

Lionsgate has acquired a pitch from Jason Filardi that will offer a comedic look at a Korean wedding. Filardi will pen the comedy with his cousin, Iain McConnell, on whom the story is based.

Vertigo Entertainment's Roy Lee and Doug Davison will produce, along with Miky Lee and Ted Kim of Korea's CJ Entertainment. Filardi will executive produce.

In the vein of "Meet the Parents" and inspired by real events, the pitch follows an American guy who falls in love with a Korean woman while teaching English as a second language. He proposes marriage and she says yes, with a condition: Her Korean family must approve and they must have a traditional wedding in Korea. So the groom makes the trip with his family in an effort to marry his true love.

Lionsgate would not confirm that the deal had closed.

Vertigo recently produced "The Strangers" for Rogue and is preparing for the release of "Quarantine" for Screen Gems and a remake of the Korean thriller "A Tale of Two Sisters" for DreamWorks. The company is responsible for a number of movies based on Asian properties, including, "The Ring," "The Grudge" and Academy Award winner "The Departed."

This new project marks a reversal of sorts, as it will take an original movie concept from the U.S. for production in Korea. A domestic release is planned.

Said Lee: "The project originated when Jason was telling me about his cousin's wedding, and he showed me the video. We both saw the movie potential."

Filardi's credits include "Bringing Down the House" and the upcoming New Line/Warner Bros. release "17 Again" starring Zac Efron.

He is repped by ICM and Brian Lutz.

Cypress Hill's Sen Dog took note of hand of his previous band to form the hip-hop rawness of SX-10. Composed of guitarists Jeremy Fleener and Andy Zambrano, bassist Frank Mercurio, and drummer Glen Sobel, SX-10 was Sen Dog's grievous vent for creating music. He treasured wide-open casimir Funk incoporated with old school rhymes and Latin tinges, and that's the cast behind SX-10. Their debut Goin' Crazy was released on Elektra in 1999 and Unbalanced Dog American followed a year afterwards on Cleopatra.
